Be with someone who comforts you when you cry for no logical reason and you feel like life is falling apart. Someone who will try to brighten up your day because they can’t stand seeing you like that.
Be with someone who is there for you when you feel like you’re broken beyond repair. Someone who tries to hush your loudest insecurities; someone who reminds you of all the good things in you when you feel like you’re good enough.
Be with someone who understands when you mess up. Especially when you say things you didn’t mean out of frustration because you don’t always realize how you’re acting in the moment, and when you finally realize the way you acted wasn’t fair or right, it’s too late.
Be with someone who bears with your emotional meltdowns. Someone doesn’t accuse you of being too emotional; instead, offers you a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean on.
Be with someone who loves you on the days you feel sad, angry, insecure. Someone who loves you on the days you feel lost, confused, and afraid.
Be with someone who accepts that you have these bad days, because we’re all prone to them.
Be with someone someone who allows you to be you. Someone who doesn’t only want the filtered, rose-colored version of you.
Be with someone who not only tolerates these other versions of you but celebrates them, cherishes them and understands them too.
Be with someone who loves you especially on your bad days. Because it’s when you need it most.
